We spent 4 years coming to terms the 2 most talked about subjects in the liveaboard community... battery management systems and anchoring techniques, before we engineered or own bespoke solutions, lets face it nobody wants to buy solar panels but they all want a cold drink from a fridge they can rely on, and that means good batteries and even better battery management

On board Mychi our home for the past 9 years, we can now live out the whole summer with no need for electric hook up, we got rid of or diesel generator, stopped changing batteries every year, switched to 6 volt golf cart batteries, went solar and 5 years on we are still running our fridge 24 hours per day with no signs of anything failing.
